近日,華美外國語學(xué)校小學(xué)部根據(jù)不同學(xué)段的學(xué)情特點(diǎn),為1—6年級(jí)的家長(zhǎng)分別召開了期中家長(zhǎng)會(huì)。有別于傳統(tǒng)“老師講、家長(zhǎng)聽”的家長(zhǎng)會(huì)模式,本次家長(zhǎng)會(huì)借助IB-PYP工作坊的形式,新穎別致,讓家長(zhǎng)們感受到IB—PYP課堂的互動(dòng)、交流、合作、分享學(xué)習(xí)模式,取得了良好的效果。
Recently, the primary department held six parents' meetings.Different from the traditional meetings "All about teachers’ talk but parents listen".This PYP workshop is novel and unique, and has achieved good results.
為了提高家長(zhǎng)會(huì)的實(shí)效性和針對(duì)性,小學(xué)部精心籌備。首先,通過問卷星做了“前期評(píng)價(jià)”,問題為“本學(xué)期您孩子較大的進(jìn)步”“您較想了解孩子的哪一方面”“您對(duì)學(xué)校的建議”。其次,對(duì)期中學(xué)業(yè)水平陽光評(píng)價(jià)做了詳盡的質(zhì)量分析,對(duì)孩子們進(jìn)行了表彰。再次,舉行了美術(shù)作品展,并展示出孩子們的各科作業(yè)。
In order to improve the effectiveness of the conference,all the staff carefully prepared.First of all, we made a preliminary evaluation through the questionnaire . For example,the most mentioned topic is "what is the most progress of your child in the semester", "which aspect do you want to know about your child most" and "your suggestions for the school".Secondly, teachers made a detailed quality analysis on the mid-term academic level and gives commendation to the children individually .At the same time, an art exhibition was held to show our students’ various talent, and also the children's homework was checked by parents.
會(huì)議一共有兩個(gè)活動(dòng),首先是家長(zhǎng)PYP工作坊,隨后是家長(zhǎng)共同探討較為關(guān)心的話題——“教育中的評(píng)估”?;顒?dòng)中,頭腦風(fēng)暴、熱烈討論、作品展示、互動(dòng)交流貫穿活動(dòng)始終,家長(zhǎng)們自然而然地發(fā)現(xiàn)了“教育中的評(píng)估”應(yīng)該全面地、發(fā)展地、細(xì)致地觀察每個(gè)孩子的內(nèi)在。工作坊主持人羅娟主任表示:“評(píng)估其實(shí)就是陪伴學(xué)習(xí)者”。同時(shí),工作室主持人周亞南校長(zhǎng)助理總結(jié)道,只有陪伴,才能對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)做出評(píng)估;只有陪伴,才能“看見”學(xué)生。
First, the parent PYP workshop explained what is the "Assessment in education". Then all the participants proceeded a brainstorm which led to a heated discussion and interactive communication.Accordingly parents realised that "evaluation in education" should be a comprehensive, developmental, and detailed observation for each child.
接下來是家長(zhǎng)和各科教師面對(duì)面的交流環(huán)節(jié),同樣是家長(zhǎng)們?yōu)闀?huì)議的主導(dǎo),家長(zhǎng)們提出各自較為關(guān)心的問題,各科教師針對(duì)每個(gè)孩子個(gè)性化答疑。
The next step is the face-to-face communication between parents and teachers of different subjects. Parents also took the lead in the meeting. They put forward their most concerned questions, the related teachers analysed personalized questions for each family.
陳校長(zhǎng)、王顧問和李總監(jiān)親臨家長(zhǎng)會(huì)現(xiàn)場(chǎng),為家長(zhǎng)解答有關(guān)學(xué)校發(fā)展層面的疑惑。
Principal Jackie Chen, Counsellor Wang and Director Li joined the meeting to answer parents' questions about the development of the school.
家長(zhǎng)會(huì)后,通過問卷星進(jìn)行滿意度調(diào)查,并對(duì)活動(dòng)復(fù)盤。
After the parents' meeting, a satisfaction survey was conducted through the questionnaire , and all the staff made a review and summary about this event.
會(huì)議,會(huì)而議之,家長(zhǎng)是家長(zhǎng)會(huì)的主體,由家長(zhǎng)朋友們討論,形成決議,才能真正發(fā)揮家長(zhǎng)的作用,家校攜手,共同前行。
All in all, parents should be the main roles of the meeting. The topics should be raised by all the parents then discussed in order to form the final solutions. Only in this way, we can joint the power from both sides. Let’s create a bright future for our children !
